what a week.
monday: went to see sports med at AH. x-ray my shins, was told i had to do a bone scan. wah lau eh. $$$. very very shiong swim training.
tues: rode up and down the slopes of NUS. people at the busstop must be thinking i was nuts.
wed: i died during swim training. kailua died.
in the afternoon she scratched out all the food from her pouch. at night i noticed her just lying one corner not moving. she was almost lifeless! i moved her a bit to try and get some reaction. she started having periods of spasms. an hour later there was a particularly violent one, then she died. buried her the same spot where i buried franky.
thurs: not in a good mood. did some aqua jogging. came to the conclusion that i could not afford to buy my racing wheels since i am going for ironman frankfurt in july. saddd
fri: went for my bone scan. $90 bucks =( they injected me with something that warranted this label around my wrist.
does that make me radioactive?
anyway they did the scan afterwards on my shins, then they asked me whether i had any pain at my right ankle. i said no. they said they needed to do an x-ray on my right ankle. wah lau eh. $28. ka-ching.
ate alot of peanut butter during the day. like by the spoonfuls. did an hour an a half of core in the hall gym while watching american gladiator. every friday.
ok thats it.

same old same old
i really want to post something new here, but as the blog title suggests, everything is still the same as when i made the prev post.
it's not a bad thing though, stability in life can be hard to find nowadays.

update
i wonder why my shin doesn't want to recover. piece of shit.
anyway, just an update on things, since i know how irritating it is to be following a blog that doesn't update with anything but videos. (im assuming hopefully that there are people who follows my blog. if not then... whatever... this just a place for me to say what i want)
training has been good, i'm picking up on the season training again esp with coach david pushing us every swim training. my stroke is back, and now working on my turnovers. mok kicked my ass during training today.
bike is looking progressing good. the trainer work and long rides are showing effect. did a bike fit over the weekend and im gonna have to get used to the new position, but otherwise my leg strength is improving.
my run is surprisingly still in existence. i thought it would be totally gone, but apparently the cross training from the cycling is limiting the damage. my stamina is not there though, but the muscular power is there. gonna do long grass runs till i rcover from the shin splints proper.
mugging has been great. the 5 day week is a blessing in disguise. i get to focus on one module a day, and im on track for my readings, which is a first. things are looking good at the moment.
hope everyone is doing fine as well at this moment! do pray for haiti and the victims of the earthquake!

2010
i'm glad i didn't make any resolution whatsoever to not procrastinate. cause that's what i did in doing this blog post 5 days later than i first said i would. lesson being, dun talk what u can't walk.
this year's a huge one for me both academically and athletically (is there such a word?)
1) this sem i'm doing two level 3000 mods, two level 2000. all of which are soci mods. the last time i did 4 soci mods was last year where i didn't do very well. this sem i'm gonna make it different. i'm also doing a level 1000 european history mod which i'm hoping will help to pull up my cap a bit. FOCUS! (otherwise cannot do honours sia)
2) IVP (top 5), Sing Bi (top 5), Aviva Ironman 70.3 (qualify for clearwater), OSIM tri (podium in my age group). the 4 local races that i want to really come through in. though i really need my shin to heal properly and quickly otherwise my running discipline will be like shit.
3) ironman frankfurt in july. my first ironman. nuff said.
4) student exchange to tulane university in new orleans in the US. still waiting for the paperwork to come through though. if everything goes according to plan this will be an experience of a lifetime.
5) i gotta wise up financially as well. lesson has been learnt. no more reckless spending and gonna be super thrifty this year.
lets make the first year of the new decade a memorable one (for all the right reasons)
